Lucille Lortel, Founder of the White Barn Theatre, Featured in Library Presentation on March 8th

The White Barn Theatre is on the CFS White Barn Campus on Newtown Avenue on the Norwalk/Westport town line.

On Thursday, March 8, Lortel herself will be celebrated when the Westport Library hosts a screening of the 1985 documentary film “Lortel, The Queen of Off-Broadway” in the library’s McManus Room. Following the nearly hourlong movie, questions will be answered.

The library also is currently showing an exhibit about Lortel that runs through April 30. The film and exhibit are associated with the “Bravo! A Century of Theatre in Fairfield County” exhibit on display at the Fairfield Museum and History Center in Fairfield through April 1.
